So here’s the plan if this Icelandic volcano ash is still causing the skies in UK to be closed to air traffic.

My return flight is booked on Thursday, April 22 at 10:15am out of Gatwick.

If I can get on, then all good.

Else, according to Qatar Airways website info, I need to book another route (at no extra charge).

So, I will book out of Madrid. The skies in Spain are open as they are far South.

Which means, I will Eurostar myself to Paris, and then an overnight train from Paris to Madrid. This will be quite a journey considering the distance.

Then take the plane to Doha, where I will then connect to Kuala Lumpur.

Even writing about this is tiring.
